Jesus, the Light of the World

For at least 8 days, Jesus has been in Jerusalem for what was known as the Feast of Booths, or the Feast of Tabernacles. This was a remembrance of God’s care for the people as He dwelt with them in the wilderness after slavery in Egypt.
And so there's something beautifully fitting about the fact that at the end of this water and light festival, Jesus does a miracle in which He uses water to bring light into the eyes of a man born blind.
