When Man Thinks He is God

Pontius Pilate was a man who thought he was God. In John 19:6–11, we see the danger of living as though we are our own masters. Yet we also see the wonder of the gospel: the One who alone is God willingly submitted to death, taking the place of guilty sinners so that all who trust in Him might be forgiven. The Judge became our Savior, and in Christ there is no condemnation!
