The Heart of the Matter

Why do some people profess Jesus Christ and love Him, while others reject Him and hate Him? We've seen this again and again throughout John's Gospel, but have you ever wondered "why?" We might assume it has to do with their past, with how they were raised, or about something in the way they were made. This week our Lord will give us the definitive answer: those who believe do so because they are my sheep, and those who reject me do so because they are not my sheep. In other words, Jesus claims divine, sovereign grace as the reason any believe at all.
