Ups and Downs

How do you respond when the Lord rebukes you? Do you dismiss it? Excuse yourself? Blame others? Or do you, like David, humble yourself under God’s hand? Apart from the Gospel, you have to rely on your own perfect record. But in Christ, we look to his perfection alone for our hope of eternity. And we are free to repent, and move forward in faithful obedience.
