Grounded in truth
We aim to be, above all else, a biblical church. We believe that the Bible, which is contained in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, gives us everything we need to know for life and godliness. We trust that, by the protection and provision of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, living and active Word of God. It is our primary means for feeding the saints and reaching the lost. Just as we seek to bring every aspect of our personal lives into conformity with the Bible, so too do we seek to ground every aspect of what we do as a church in the Truth of God’s Word. The Bible alone is sufficient to govern the faith and practice of the Church

growing in grace
The Christian life isn’t meant to be done alone. Our robust church life offers many opportunities for Christian learning, fellowship, and growth. Members and guests alike are warmly welcomed to participate in morning and evening worship, bible study, prayer meetings, church-wide events, group gatherings, and ministry opportunities.

going with the love of christ
We exist to glorify God throughout Beaufort and into the wider world. We do this through discipleship and evangelism ministries that proclaim the gospel and equip the flock. Learn more about the work we’re doing here at First Scots – and beyond.
About Us
Get to know more about what makes us different.

We are Protestants.
We are Presbyterians.
Most fundamentally, we are Christians.
Simply put, we are a church of gathered families and individuals who profess their need for a Savior and have found life in Jesus Christ, identity and purpose in the God of the Bible, and community among His people.
What we believe is nothing new or novel. We hold to the historic Christian beliefs that Christ’s church has held for literally thousands of years. While we are strongly Presbyterian in our doctrine, government, and practice, we do acknowledge and warmly embrace our brothers and sisters of other backgrounds who also accept the free offer of the Gospel as presented to us in the Scriptures.
